in an effort to try to remove myself from Meta more, I'm going to start sharing personal photos in a monthly update format here.
why? bc I have a little bit of control over my online content here, i suppose. this is our website, ya know? i did kinda build it.
i used to do this thing when i was younger on a site, one that i've been using recently to rebuild routine in my life - Neopets (no shame yall @ me - weftwitch). anyway, I would take screenshots of things on the message boards back in the early 2000s and add my own MS paint flair to it. we call them meme's nowadays. i remember it being a nice feeling to create and share. then the internet boomed and we got pigeonholed into platforms like MySpace, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, and all the others - you get where i'm going with this & I don't feel like being the internet historian rn.

again, i'm personally not interested in lining Meta's pockets anymore, however i have this impulse to share things sometimes. stemming from that impulse is the urge to overshare on Facebook, post thirst traps on Instagram, and participate in the global town square that was Twitter (all urges I fought constantly). not for nothing, some of my favorite internet content over the years like Allie Brosh's Hyperbole and a Half blog and Homestar Runner (which recently put out a video and announced a relaunch) were independent websites.
also having access to tools that are more powerful than MS paint is pretty cool. having the time and resources to do this is pretty cool too.
so i'll be sharing stuff here until i dont
also just saying - committed to removing personal identifying information as much as possible - dm me on bluesky or hit me up on discord if i mess up (also if I need to change around alt text, or if there is an original source to any images. some of them are actually mine and i tried to keep og sources from when I found them)
